Joshua Tree & Palm Springs

We pick up our friends and relax in a house for a week.

We Made It

We arrived to the Palm Springs area about 5 days before my friends would be flying in. We took care of a few todo's and also experienced some heat that I wasn't ready for. I booked an AirBnB last minute to escape the heat, shower, and do laundry. The house was super cute, fully fenced, and just what we needed for a night.

I didn't want to explore too much before my friends arrived so we spent the next few days a bit north (both in elevation and direction).

Party Time

On Tuesday morning I picked up my friends from the airport and we got to our house later that day. We were only 5 minutes outside the North entrance to the park. We explored the whole park over the next couple of days while the dogs laid on the couch all day. We watched the sunset one evening. The birthday girl won money at the casino on her birthday night.

Palm Springs

On Friday, we explored around Palm Springs and took a ride up the Aerial Tramway. Its about a 10 minute ride up 6,000 feet in a rotating tramcar. There are 5 towers that support the cable and tramcar — the scariest part is the swing of the tramcar as you pass over the towers. At the top, we had a beer and appetizer, checked out the views of the valley, and headed back down after sunset.
